Fivish things

Jollyblogger David Wayne invited me to do this meme. I usually avoid pouring out personal information on the net, for both paranoid and practical reasons: paranoid because I don't know who (besides the NSA, of course) might be collecting information on me; practical because practically anyone who sees this kind of thing won't care a bit about my answers. But as I now have an excuse to write about myself, here goes.

1) What's the most fun work you've ever done, and why? (two sentences max)
The most fun (as opposed to most fulfilling) would have to be my early days as a technical writer at the U. S. Department of Energy facilities in Oak Ridge. As Martin Mull once said about Holywood, that job was like high school with money.

2) A. Name one thing you did in the past that you no longer do but wish you did? (one sentence max)
Broke into a trot or run anytime, anywhere without worrying how my lower back would feel the next day

B. Name one thing you've always wanted to do but keep putting it off? (one sentence max)
I honestly can't think of anything.

3) A. What two things would you most like to learn or be better at, and why? (two sentences max)
I'd like to memorize more Scripture and remember it for more than a few days.

B. If you could take a class/workshop/apprentice from anyone in the world living or dead, who would it be and what would you hope to learn? (two more sentences, max)
Too many dead folks to consider, so I'll limit it to living men. I'd like to study preaching under Fred Craddock or William Willimon.

4) A. What three words might your best friends or family use to describe you?
It's hard to answer that one without sounding even more egotistical than I do answering this way.

B. Now list two more words you wish described you...
Consensus builder

5) What are your top three passions? (can be current or past, work, hobbies, or causes-- three sentences max)
Proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, studying the Scriptures, and loving my family

6) (sue me) Write--and answer--one more question that YOU would ask someone (with answer in three sentences max)
Nah
